The Dwarves and The Gnomes

Getting to know your races is essential if you plan to maximize the features of your character. Each race is entitled with a unique feature only available to that particular race. It is up to the player on how they would use these special skills and abilities to their advantage in order to come out victorious whenever they are faced with certain opponents. It is also good to know the background of the race before playing the game. This grants you additional knowledge as to how each race was able to participate in that particular faction. Players often skip the reading process mainly because of the excitement of playing the game, thus, this leads to certain situations where the player is left at a disadvantage in the situation because of lack of knowledge with regards to their characters. Some players on the other hand invest time and patience into understanding the works of the writers for the game and this knowledge helps them survive in the World of Warcraft.

Certain races can be mixed up as they may appear to be of the same physical appearance but both their backgrounds and inclinations as well are very much different from the other. It is best to be able to differentiate one from the other, for a mistake like this can waste the time to be used for leveling your actual character. Gnomes and Dwarves are one of the confusing races as their appearance may seem to be the same in terms of height, but their special abilities are very different from each other. What makes it more confusing is that these two races are both in the Alliance faction. WoW Alliance guides aim to clear this confusion between the Dwarves and the Gnomes through specific descriptions of their backgrounds and whatnots.

Dwarves – an ancient race that consists of buff humanoids, the dwarves can be found living under the thick snow-capped mountains in the World of Warcraft. These dwarves were known to have never left the safety of their mountain fortresses but once the call for battle arrives, with no hesitation, these humanoids stood up to fight for their friends and allies as well as to protect their homeland from the treacherous Hordes. These robust humanoids have undergone an outstanding transformation. Their discovery of their origins led them to have the ability to withstand certain status ailments as if they were made of stone. These dwarves were then motivated to search all around the World of Warcraft in order to find more hidden legacies with regards to their race. Available classes for Dwarves are: Hunter, Paladin, Priest Rogue, and Warrior. Their mounts are in the form of the animal, Ram.

Gnomes – the difference between the dwarves and the gnomes is that these gnomes strive for technological perfection as they master their crafts in order to produce more mechanical creations to aid them in their journey. The gnome race maximized the abundant resources that they have shared with their dwarven cousins in order to create more and more technological designs that were soon transformed into weapons, armor, and other materials used for war. These gnomes preferred to work in the shadows rather than to fight head on with the Burning Legion. It is not because they are a weak race, but they would prefer mastering the art of creating weapons that would aid their allies in battle. The classes made available for the Gnomes are: Mage, Rogue, Warlock and Warrior. Their mounts are made from their technological inclination, the Mechanostrider.
